Staying on

Any of these trips can be mixed and matched to suit your wants and wishes. Extend a trip with a few days on the beach at either Neeleshwar Hermitage or Ahilya by the Sea; go up to the Himalaya for a few days at Glenburn or Shakti 360°; or head to one of the fabulous fort/palace hotels, for a few days of grand living before flying home.

Equally, the peace and seclusion of our jungle and country retreats also make perfect venues for an extra few days of total relaxation at the end of your Indian odyssey. Or, if wanting an exotic ‘beach fix’, hop on a flight from Chennai, Hyderabad, Bombay, Bangalore or Calcutta and head over to the Andaman Islands for an idyllic week exploring the rainforest, scuba diving and beach combing whilst based at the lovely Jalakara. It’s always a good idea to end a holiday to India with at least 3 nights in one place so as to return home rested rather than over-travelled!

Alternatively, with India being part of the vast Subcontinent, it is very easy to travel on to Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan or The Maldives from here and this often makes for a lovely, varied way to end a holiday. If you have time, experiencing the culture of one of these other countries might be a lovely way to round off the trip of a lifetime. By all means ring for advice on the best way to link India to these other fascinating countries.
